Snow College Homecoming 2013

My dad was honored as a "Distinguished Alumni" at this years homecoming.  It was really neat.  The whole family was invited to a breakfast where a tribute to his life and service he has given the community was read and then he said a few words.  My dad is an incredible man.  He always gives more than expected and if something needs to be done he just does it.  He has a vision for the future and for a better world that most people don't see.  He has always put his family and church first and then his community.  Thank you dad for an incredible example.  All the grandkids rode in the parade with grandpa and grandma.  So all of us parents watched the parade in peace and quiet.  We then went and had pizza and watched the football game where dad was honored at halftime.  It was a great family day.

My 30th Birthday

My family has always teased me that by 30 I would be in a wheel chair with dentures.  Well I am proud to announce that I have neither!  I got to spend my birthday with my wonderful family.  We watched Lexie play soccer and then JD took me out to dinner.

First Day of School - August 2013

Lexie's first day of 1st Grade.  She is in the Chinese immersion program and has Mrs. Booth and Mrs. Xiang. 

Brynnlee is attending Canyon View Preschool again and has Miss Tiff and Miss Tam.  She was so excited to start riding the bus again.

Randomness from September 2013

Momma and Miss Party.  We had a tea party and decorated party hats.  It turned out so cute and it was super easy.

Brynnlee loves to put her hair in a pony tail.  I just can't get the concept across that she only needs to use one elastic.

This is what I took out of her hair.  Her poor hair is so thin and fragile anyway, this does not help at all.

Bs could sit outside and chalk paint all day.  She comes in a mess but hey it works and it is washable.

Sally is Bs best friend and they love to do each others hair.  Cute girls. 

Boston loves being outside.  Indy is very protective and is never far away.  Boston has learned to move/throw the ball and Indy brings it right back.  Keeps them both entertained for awhile.

Boston is a nightmare around laundry.  I can't get anything done unless he is asleep and then I have to hurry and fold and put them away because he is a terror.

Boston's 1st Birthday - September 2013

Boston is 1 year old!  Wow where does the time go.  He has been the best baby.  He still has no desire to walk he crawls everywhere and is really fast.  He loves any attention and smiles really easily.  He is a very good eater and loves broccoli and anything chocolate.  He is such a happy baby we all love him so much.

It didn't take long before he had it everywhere.  On the floor, walls and all over himself.

Lexie sewed this book for him all by herself.  She did a great job and he loved it.

He did love his presents.

He had plenty of help opening them and playing with all his new stuff.

Lake Powell - September 2013

We tagged along with my Uncle Branches family to Lake Powell.  It was my first time ever being there and we had so much fun.  I can't wait to go back.  We left Boston with Tori (I didn't want to have to worry about him on the house boat).  We loaded everything on the house boat and set out to find a place to dock.  We found a place for the night (because it was getting dark).  Nobody really loved the place but we needed to hurry before it was really dark.  We camped one night in this place and in the morning we found a better place.  We swam, hiked, cliff jumped and boated for the week.  The week went by so fast it was crazy.

JD kept the kids entertained by fishing off the back of the house boat.  They caught catfish and carp.

Bs discovered that she loved swimming in the open water.  It was really hard to keep her in the boat after she figured this out.  She did get plenty of swimming in though.
